Zola Marcelle’s musical journey began in a home filled with American Gospel music, as well as Shona ‘folk’. Growing up surrounded by powerful voices and delicious harmonies, her path towards voice and music was inevitable. By Age 16, Zola was already leading choirs, guiding voices with passion and purpose. She has directed ensembles including the Hillingdon Community Choir and the Luton Gospel Community Choir, whilst also facilitating numerous workshops with young people as songwriters, singers and community members. Her dedication to her craft led her to an undergraduate study of Music at Leeds Conservatoire, where she expanded her musical knowledge and refined her artistry. Today,
Zola stands not only as a dynamic choral leader but also as a vibrant artist in her own right.
Whether performing, arranging, or teaching, she brings warmth, authenticity, and a spirit- filled sound that celebrates community through music.
